After the interview

After the interview you could write a follow ?up letter. You can send it by e-mail, fax or post. Nowadays e-mail is the easiest and most acceptable way, unless interviewer doesn?t have e-mail address. Send a thank-you note as soon as possible after your meeting. Your letter should express gratitude for the meeting, reinforce the fact you have interest in the position and recap the strongest points recommending you for the position.

Guidelines for "thank you" letter

- Just one page.
- Address it to the interviewer.
- Write a separate letter to each of interviewers.
- Thank the interviewer for his time, mention date and position.
- Refer to topics discussed during the interview, restate your interest in the position.
- End by letting them know how they can reach you if any questions.
- Read once more.
